September snowfall captured by Sunshine Village webcam in Banff, Alberta

Live web cameras captured a healthy dusting of snow gracing the slopes of Sunshine Village in Banff, Alberta early Tuesday afternoon.

While the photos are certainly impressive Weather Network meteorologist Tyler Hamilton says that snow in this area, at this time of year, isn't anything out of the ordinary.
"This is one of the first snowfalls of the season," he says, "but it's not uncommon for the higher elevations in Banff to see the first snowfall of the year in September."
Still, the photos serve as a solid reminder that summer is coming to an end.
