See which nations are the biggest CO2 contributors

Friday, September 18, 2015, 6:26 PM - Students at George Washington University have created an infographic showing which countries are the largest contributors to climate change, and which countries are the most vulnerable to it.
The information was compiled by the university's online master of health administration program. The countries that are the largest contributors to CO2 emissions are represented along the top in red, while the countries most vulnerable to the impacts are illustrated along the bottom in blue.
CO2 emissions are a large contributor to climate change, by helping trap heat in the atmosphere.
While China and the U.S. are the largest contributors in the world, Canada isn't that far behind, taking the ninth spot on the list.

This latest survey comes amid several recent rankings for Canada and within Canada, including:
- The happiest countries in the world;
- The most bike-friendly cities in the world;
- The most (and least) sleepless cities in Canada;
- The most (and least) flood-prepared cities in Canada;
- The countries most (and least) curious about climate change;
- The best places to live in Canada;
- The most contented cities in Canada.
The infographic was created using data from the Notre Dame Global Adaptation Index and the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center.
