See what it's like to drive Japan's 'roller coaster' bridge

Wednesday, May 6, 2015, 6:32 PM - Japan's Eshima Ohashi Bridge has been making headlines this week after a series of images made their way online, showcasing the steep drop drivers must navigate.
While it's been dubbed the 'rollercoaster bridge', the drive isn't as scary as it looks, as evidenced by a series of YouTube videos.
The bridge, which connects the cities Matsue and Sakaiminato over Lake Nakaumi may look terrifying when viewed from certain angles:

In reality, the seemingly dangerous incline is actually an optical illusion, although the bridge is steeper than average.
The Eshima Ohashi Bridge rises 44 metres into the air and its height allows for bridges to pass underneath. The nearly 2 kilometre-long bridge has no guardrails between the lanes, but it offers a pretty spectacular view.
