Remnants of Gonzalo flood Athens

Gonzalo—or the energy of what was once Hurricane Gonzalo—continues to have a devastating effect around the world.
The latest victim was Greece where torrential downpour left the streets looking like rivers.

In Athens, nearly 150 millimetres of rain fell in less than two hours, catching residents by surprise. The local fire department received more than 850 calls and had to send out 150 firefighters and 70 fire engines to rescue people across the city.
About 300 cars were swept away in the flood.
There's no rain in the forecast today for Sunday but system is still affecting other parts of the Balkan Peninsula.
