Regina resident Jared Frank has become an overnight sensation after uploading his "extreme selfie" to YouTube earlier this week.

Frank was trying to take a picture of himself in front of a train in another country, which internet sleuths have identified as Peru.

Unfortunately, he got a bit too close for comfort and ended up getting kicked in the head by the train's conductor.

"Wow, that guy kicked me in the head!" He exclaims.

While the video is certainly shocking, questions have arisen about its authenticity.

Many people are saying the clip a hoax that may have been orchestrated by a T.V. talk show.

Here in The Weather Network newsroom, opinions are split.

Some believe that Frank would have been badly injured, or even killed, had the incident been real.

Others say it appears too spontaneous to be made up.

What do you think?
