A rapidly intensifying low pressure system is set to bring stormy conditions to much of Newfoundland Monday.
Rain, snow and windy conditions are expected to accompany it during its passage, warns Environment Canada in their special weather statement.
"For northeastern Newfoundland and inland areas along the south coast, snowfall accumulations between 10 and 15 centimetres are expected," EC adds.
While there's a risk for greater snowfall amounts, milder conditions and ground temperatures will likely result in some melting.
WHAT TO WEAR: Rainy Day Remembrance.
For eastern Newfoundland, the precipitation is expected to remain as rain with with up to 25 mm expected.
Along the south and east coasts winds are expected to gust as high as 90 km/h, EC says.
The messy mix could affect some Remembrance Day plans and police officials are reminding motorists to obey the rules of the road while traveling Monday.
