Tuesday, December 1, 2015, 12:21 PM - While a parade of storms return to BC, and parts of Ontario and eastward deal with freezing rain and a risk for heavy snow, mild temperatures and high pressure continue to dominate the Prairies.

"You can definitely consider the Prairie provinces to be spoiled with this weather, especially since it's the first week of December," says Weather Network meteorologist Brett Soderholm. "By Thursday, it will be difficult to find a location that's below zero degrees."

The city of Regina for example, typically sees temperatures around -6C at this time of year. By the end of the weekend the city will be sitting at nearly 10C, almost 15C above the climate normal.

There will however, be some "blips" in the warm and stable trend.

On Tuesday morning, Environment Canada issued a wind warning for extreme southwestern Alberta.

Wind gusts of 90 to 100 km/h are possible through Wednesday morning.

"A trough also tries to form in Alberta by the weekend bringing a risk of (very) isolated flurries back into the picture.
