Some damage was reported in the area, but in the end, Anchorage officials say the damage was "mostly superficial."

A time-lapse camera happened to capture the entire thing.

Anchorage resident Shelly Plum was shooting a time lapse video at the exact time of Thursday's quake.

"I just got my new iOS update and I was trying to get the fog, and I tied it (the iPhone) to a tree and had been filming about 30 minutes when the earthquake happened," Plum told CNN.
