The Toronto circuit isn't only a tough route to maneuver for the Indy car drivers, it makes getting around in the city difficult for those who live in the west end as well as people heading to the Honda Indy this weekend.

It is best to check before you go so you know what streets to avoid and how to get around them. If you are looking to make your way east or west stick to King Street or take the Gardiner Expressway, but be aware that there will likely be more delays than usual.

    • Lakeshore Blvd. will be closed between British Columbia Drive and Strachan Ave.
    • Strachan Ave is also closed between Lake Shore Blvd. and Fleet Street.
    • Both Lake Shore Blvd. as well as Strachan Ave. will remain closed throughout the weekend until midnight on Sunday July 14th.
    • Other roads within the area will also be closed for the race and festivities. For details see the track map below.

The race will also cause certain TTC routes to be busier than normal. Longer travel times are expected, so allow yourself extra time if you are headed that way.

The images below illustrate the race route and road closures. If you are driving to the event there is plenty of parking on Exhibition grounds.
