Photo of Alberta's Moraine lake goes viral

Thursday, November 5, 2015, 12:30 PM - A picture of Moraine Lake, Alberta went viral on the content-sharing site Reddit Wednesday, sparking a conversation about beautiful Alberta.
The photo was uploaded by Reddit user Rossboss96 Wednesday morning with the caption: A view most people never get to see: Moraine Lake, Alberta, Canada (from the summit of mount Temple).
By Wednesday afternoon, it had been viewed more than 879,000 times and generated more than 600 comments.

"You could spend 6 months in Alberta alone and not see even half of its natural wonders," Reddit user JamieRidingHonour says.
"The same thing goes for most of the other provinces, and what you'll find in each will be vastly different landscape-wise."
Many commenters said the photo inspired them to visit Canada.
Moraine is just one of hundreds of lakes that can be found in Alberta. One of the most famous is lake Louise, which was voted the most scenic spot in the world by USA Today in January 2014.
While Alberta is undoubtedly beautiful, temperatures are chilly in parts of the province this week, with some higher elevations experiencing snowfall.
