A record heat wave in China isn't showing any signs of cooling off. Temperatures continue to stay up in cities and provinces across the country, including Shanghai.

Parts of southern and eastern China are dealing with some of the hottest temperatures that they've seen, in some cases, in at least 140 years.

Temperatures have peaked at close to 40 degrees for several days leaving residents throughout the region trying anything to keep cool.

Government officials have even tried to seed clouds in some areas to make rain.

Forecasters say there's no relief in sight as these high and almost unbearable temperatures are expected to last for several more days.
