MUST WATCH: Horse sleeps through exciting rescue
Tuesday, October 28, 2014, 10:16 AM - It wasn't the usual rescue operations in Mesa, Arizona.
Firefighters were called to a suburban home and were caught off-guard by what they saw: a horse had fallen into a swimming pool in the backyard.
How exactly the horse ended up in the pool is still a mystery.

After the horse began thrashing and hitting its head, officials were forced to sedate the animal with a tranquilizer to calm it down and allow firefighters to do their work.
Straps were attached to the horse which was then pulled out of the pool.
The large animal could be heard snoring as they placed it on the nearby grass.
The horse is said to have completely recovered—although it will probably keep its distance from pools going forward.
