Several days of torrential rain have led to severe flooding in Thailand.

One of the worst hit is the Takua Pa distrcit in Phang-nga. The region saw meter-deep flooding spread throughout the district. The high water levels paralyzed traffic in the region.

In the Ko Kian Village, an eroded flood dike is causing concerns of a possible collapse. Flooding has already led to several districts being cut off from the outside world.

Many highways have been closed down as floodwater continues to rise.

Seven districts in the Satun province have been declared disaster zones as the flooding situation worsens. Nearly 40 provinces have been placed on alert for possible natural disasters, including mudslides.
