The southwest U.S. is more than ready to receive December after being hit by a wintry blast this week.
The system brought snow to states like New Mexico and Texas, with some of the worst hitting Colorado. The National Weather Services issued Winter Storm Warnings for many regions in the state, as well as placing it on Avalanche watch.
Colorado State patrol confirmed on Thursday that the storm had led to one death after a motorist got into an accident along a major highway.

In the city of Boulder, the weather was bad enough to force the closure of campus fields on Saturday, as well as the relocation of of activities that had been schedule for the weekend at the University of Colorado.
The severe weather conditions on the road also led to a seven-car pile-up on Friday night in Pueblo. One of the vehicles was carrying two prisoners that were later transported to a medical centre. The incident led to heavy delays for commuters.
By Monday morning, some parts of the state could see nearly 70 centimetres of snow.
