Residents were able to escape. Since further avalanches might follow, surrounding farms have been evacuated.

Due to this incredibly large avalanche, Rabenstein, a small village, will be unreachable for a week.

Thomas Ennemoser, a farmer from the affected Orsteil Pill, filmed the massive avalanche at a safe distance on a hill.
