Here's what to expect on Mother's Day in southern Ontario

Saturday, May 7, 2016, 7:21 PM - While temperatures surpassed 20 degrees in many parts of southern Ontario Saturday, more seasonal conditions are on the way as a cold front continues to slide across the region.

That cold front came through the region throughut the day Saturday, bringing showers in some paces and leaving temperatures in the low-to-mid teens on Sunday.
It will be quite breezy overnight and through Sunday, with winds gusting close to 50 km/h across the region. Temperatures behind the front will be noticeably cooler for Mother's Day Sunday, adds Gillham.
"It will be mostly rain free for Mother’s Day in southern Ontario, but there is a threat for a passing shower during the afternoon," Gillham says.
The second week of May will continue to be variable around the Great Lakes with some temperature swings that result in near seasonal temperatures.
