Heavy rain overnight led to flooding all across central Texas on Sunday morning.
Some parts of the state reported more than 300 millimeters of rainfall.
The rising water level was enough for organizers to cancel the Austin City Limits Music Festival. In a statement, they explained that the first priority has to be the safety of the fans, staff and artists.

Numerous water rescues had to be performed throughout the city, as many drivers were trapped inside their vehicles.
At least two dozen low water crossings closed in Austin and nearly 6000 households were left without power.
The downpours won't be enough to alleviate the drought in some parts of the state, as the heaviest rain fell downstream of two lakes that are near-record low water levels.
