Heavy rain to drench the Maritimes

While parts of the west could see a record dry month, up to 100 mm of rain is possible across the Maritimes this weekend.
That's thanks to a low pressure system pushing in from the U.S., expected to approach eastern Canada by early Saturday.
A slow moving warm front ahead of this system however, has started to spread rain over some places.
That prompted Environment Canada to issue a rainfall for warning for parts of New Brunswick late Thursday.
Rainfall amounts in excess of 60 mm are possible for central and southwest areas in the province.
"More areas may require warnings if the storm track or intensity change," Environment Canada says.
