These totals were short-lived, however, with some temperatures reaching above zero on Sunday.

High pressure will be moving through the Prairies on Monday, where residents will have a day to enjoy the clear skies before the next big storm arrives. Above seasonal temperatures will persist across all three provinces on Tuesday, before plunging drastically to near freezing on Thursday.

This Pacific storm will be crossing the Rockies on Tuesday, bringing rain showers, windy conditions and cooler temperatures through the region.

At the moment, the heaviest rains look to be in the southern Prairies -- where the northern Prairies may see sun, clouds, and cool temperatures.
