For the second time this year, some of the gorillas at the Calgary Zoo managed to escape their enclosure and get into the kitchen next door.
Zoo spokeswoman Trish Exton-Parder says no one was hurt, and the public was never in danger.
This wasn't the first time the gorillas were attracted to the kitchen though.
The animals made a similar breakout in March, after a keeper left the door unlatched. After further investigation, the zookeeper was fired.
“This incident is a reminder that there is no room for error or complacency when working with dangerous animals,” the zoo said in a statement.
The gorilla exhibit is in an area that's being rebuilt after major flooding hit southern Alberta earlier this year.
