Giant hole swallows SUV in Trois-Rivières, Quebec

A moisture packed system that pushed through eastern Canada on Tuesday prompted widespread rainfall warnings and flood watch advisories.
"Significant rainfall was reported across southern Ontario and the Montreal area followed by clearing later in the day Tuesday," says Weather Network meteorologist Brett Soderholm.

Water levels on several rivers and streams quickly rose and localized flooding over roadways was reported.
In Trois-Rivières, Quebec, a giant hole formed on the road and quickly swallowed an SUV as the heavy rain accumulated Tuesday morning.

Officials say a water main break may have also contributed to the street flooding and giant pothole.
A couple standing nearby called 911 and fortunately were able to help the driver get out of his car.
Aside from shock, no serious injuries were reported.
