Fierce storm brings damaging hail to parts of the Prairies

Friday, July 18, 2014, 7:50 AM - Severe storms ripped through southern Alberta and Saskatchewan Thursday, bringing heavy rain, localized flooding and gusty winds.

At one point, the severe conditions prompted tornado watches in both provinces, but no twister touch downs have been reported.

There was no shortage of large hail however, causing significant damage in some places.
