We're seeing crazy weather everywhere, and it goes beyond storms.
There are some very strange things happening in the animal kingdom. So strange that some are calling it global weirding -- and it's left top environmental experts grappling with the new trends.
The Pacific recently has seen its fair share of weird lately.
Last year alone there was an invasion of Humboldt squid around coastal California and sea lions were dying off in worrying numbers. In recent weeks sea stars -- from Alaska to San Diego -- appear to be wasting away and literally melting.
One possible cause or contributing factor is the changing ocean temperature. Waters are becoming increasingly warmer, and that's sparking a series of alarming new patterns.
Experts say that drought, wildfires and extreme heat in the summer -- and fierce snow storms in the winter -- will become the new normal.
