Researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are working on developing something called transient electronics. These products will be made to dissolve in water at the end of their life. Essentially the products are “born to die”.
The hope is to reduce electronic trash and stop clogging up the landfills. Only time will tell if this product is the answer to our overfilled landfill problem.
