The same system that brought over 30 cm of snow to parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan continues to dump heavy snow across northern Manitoba.

"A low pressure system tracking across northern Manitoba will bring another 5 to 10 cm of snow to the Gillam, Shamattawa and York regions today and this evening," says Environment Canada in the snowfall warning issued.

Close to 30 cm of snow has already been reported in Flin Flon, with places like Thompson and Gillam seeing between 15-20 cm.

"The snow will taper off to flurries tonight as the weather system moves into Hudson Bay," EC adds.

An additional 1 to 3 cm are expected across the rest of northern Manitoba as the system slowly tracks away from the province Tuesday.
