A 20-year-old bull has lived to see another weekend.

That's because an Hillsborough County Sheriff's Deputy in Florida waded into a pond to hold the drowning animal's head up until rescuers arrived.

Deputy Christina Ammons supported the bull's head for about 45 minutes while Hillsborough County Fire Rescue sent a crew to pull the bull out earlier today.

Another deputy stood guard with a rifle to protect them from any potential alligators that may have been in the water.

HSCO says, before long, the 1000 lb bull was up and walking around.
