Brief: Who's in for the most Friday showers?

Friday, October 9, 2015, 6:35 AM - Rain and wind in store for many provinces Friday leading into the Thanksgiving weekend, with the heaviest rains out west and strongest winds on both coasts.
Meanwhile, Ontario and Quebec have their own brushes with showers and gusty winds.
Here's your Friday brief.
Atlantic Canada
- Maritimes: Showers later in the afternoon and early evening for New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, somewhat windy.
- Newfoundland: Low deepens over Newfoundland Saturday, with local gusts in the 80-90 km/h range, with some mixing in Labrador, with some snowfall warnings in effect there.
Ontario and Quebec
- Ontario: Some showers still possible, easing in the morning. Sunday and Monday brings temperatures into the low 20s, isolated shower risk Monday night.
- Quebec: Rain pushes into southern Quebec Friday, hanging on until later in the day. Saturday below seasonal temperatures.
Western Canada
- Prairies: Well above seasonal for Alberta and Saskatchewan, temperatures reach into the mid 20s Saturday for Alberta and Manitoba. Strong winds build for Sunday, local gusts of 70-80 km/h possible, along with some rain showers.
- British Columbia: A broad upper low over the Gulf of Alaska, tropical moisture ushered in from Hurricane Oho and a series of surface lows will help channel in a lot of moisture and strong winds onto the coast through Monday. Saturday looks stormiest for the south coast, with some threat of strong winds. Calmer by mid-week.
