Wednesday, April 15, 2015, 8:47 AM - Warm weather is moving in, making it feel like spring in some parts of the country. Here's your Wednesday weather brief.

Atlantic Canada

  • Maritimes: Showers should clear out by Wednesday morning, with mainly sunny conditions expected.
  • With the exception of PEI that is expected to remain chilly, all other provinces will see seasonal temperatures.
  • Newfoundland: "A trough will keep sea-effect snow showers on the western shores of Newfoundland Wednesday," says Weather Network meteorologist Erin Wenckstern. "Wednesday night we will see a wind shift to the north for the Avalon resulting in cold temperatures for Thursday."
  • The north Avalon could see a light shower Monday evening with mixing moving into the region during the overnight hours.

Quebec and Ontario

  • Ontario: Sunshine in store for most of southern Ontario with highs slightly above seasonal -- but a pattern change is on the way. Visit theweathernetwork.com today for an in-depth analysis on this pattern change by Weather Network meteorologist Dr. Doug Gillham. 
  • Northwestern Ontario could be even warmer than southern Ontario with with a system in the Prairies bringing
  • Quebec: Sunny and warm conditions will remain in place through Wednesday.

Western Canada 

  • Prairies: Rain showers will reach northern Manitoba through Wednesday with the risk of patchy freezing rain around Thompson in the afternoon. Snowfall warnings are in place at higher elevations with up to 15 cm expected in some place.
  • British Columbia: Another frontal system will arrive in north Vancouver island Wednesday morning, with a warming trend on tap for the weekend.
