Brief: Sunny, seasonal Sunday ... with one exception

Sunday, November 29, 2015, 7:12 AM - It's looking like a great Sunday for most of the country with one small exception: The Atlantic provinces.

Here's your weather brief.

Atlantic Canada

  • Newfoundland A weak trough moving through the area will bring cooler temperatures and light flurries to the western part of the province. Up to 5 cm might be possible throughout the day.
  • Maritimes Eastern Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island are in for some sea effect snow and wind, but totals shouldn't exceed 5 cm, and then only in localized squalls.

Ontario and Quebec

  • High pressure will stay in place until Tuesday, keeping places like Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa sunny and seasonal. A messy mix begins to affect Ontario Tuesday, beginning in the pre-dawn hours. Southern Ontario could see freezing rain inland, switching to rain late morning. The north sees freezing rain and a chance of snow.

Western Canada

  • Prairies Manitoba has a seasonal day lined up as Winnipeg gets ready to host the Grey Cup, while Alberta and Saskatchewan are in for an above seasonal day, with temperatures hovering around freezing. This pattern will hold and be a reflection of the week ahead.
  • British Columbia: Sunday is looking great for the West Coast with the day remaining seasonal and dry. Patchy fog burns off and redevelops along the coast and interior valleys. Showers for the south coast late Monday.
