Monday, July 6, 2015, 3:50 PM - It was a scene straight out of a Disney film.

A man soaring over the city of Calgary, Alta., in a lawn chair tied to an array of more than one hundred colourful, helium balloons made quite a splash at the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth over the weekend.

On Sunday, Daniel Boria pulled a high-flying stunt over the city in hopes of promoting his cleaning products company.

Instead, he's landed in a situation with the law he simply can't fly away from.

Boria, 26, has been charged by Calgary police with one count of mischief causing danger to life.

A self-proclaimed skydiver, Boria planned to parachute into the middle of the Calgary Stampede festivities as a publicity stunt.

But his jump didn't go quite as planned.

With no way to steer his flying chair, Boria could rely only on the wind currents to control his flight path.

Strong winds caused Boria to miss his target on the ground in Stampede Park, and he landed a few kilometers away, in an industrial field in the city's southeast. He sustained an injured ankle in the fall.

Later on Sunday, Borgia's abandoned $10 lawn chair was discovered by two people walking in nearby High River, where it landed once Borgia took his famous leap.

Less than 20 of the balloons were still inflated.

Video below from the company YouTube page shows Borgia and his crew launching the infamous deck chair from a park in northeast Calgary on Sunday:
