Approximately 150 dolphins are feared dead after they washed ashore in Hokota City, Japan Friday morning.
The melon-headed whales (also called blackfish) are usually found in the deep ocean. Residents frantically attempted to save the dolphins, but only a few could be spared. The dolphins were alive but extremely weak when found. Soon after they died.
