"The good news is that if you enjoyed last Saturday you're going to love this weekend," says Weather Network meteorologist Doug Gillham in his latest Long Ranger segment. "It's not just Saturday this time, the nice weather is going to continue right through Sunday."
But first, we have to get through some unsettled conditions midweek.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop Wednesday morning.
"And although it won't be a continuous rain, we'll see the thunderstorm risk right through Thursday," says Gillham. "Brief, heavy downpours are also possible in some places, which could impact travel on the roads."
Conditions begin to improve by Friday, but there's still a threat for a few showers.
The threat for showers and thunderstorms returns early next week, but that's after an outstanding weekend across the region.
