DON'T MISS:  Dreaming of a 'white' Halloween?

The Weather Network has you covered. Here is your morning briefing for Wednesday October 29.

1. Mixed precipitations heads to Ontario

Tuesday was the warmest day of the week for many lucky Ontario cities. St. Catharines reached a high of 22.9º making it the national hotspot.

Parts of Ontario including Cottage country, central Ontario and eastern Ontario could see an isolated shower later today. A system is bringing messy weather for the area this afternoon and into the evening.

Breezy conditions will also be seen before slowing down on Thursday where mostly sunny conditions are expected.

Things won't stay calm for too long as the next disturbance moves in during the overnight hours of Thursday and will stick around for most of Friday. This new system will bring rain to Ontario with the risk of some mixing in the southern part of the province.

Parts of the Greater Toronto Area could see some snow and rain Friday night and into early Saturday morning.

2. A messy weekend ahead for Atlantic Canada

The Maritimes are in for a wet day today as showers move through the area bringing with it the chance of a few isolated thunderstorms through Nova Scotia and even New Brunswick.

Fortunately the rain is accompanied by mild temperatures that will stick around until tomorrow before cooling down as we head into the weekend.

For Newfoundland, Wednesday is looking mostly sunny with showers affecting only the west side later tonight. Tomorrow it's the Avalon's turn with heavy rainfall hitting during the evening hours.

As for the weekend? Well, it's not looking too great right now. It's difficult to forecast at the moment but what's clear is that Arctic energy will be mixing with energy from what was once Hurricane Ana bringing some unpleasantness to the east coast. Make sure to check back for the latest updates.

3. What's next for the Prairies?

It's looking pleasant all across the temperatures with seasonal or slightly above seasonal temperatures affecting the Prairie provinces.

While conditions are mostly dry today the next change for precipitation moves into the area on Saturday. Alberta and Saskatchewan are the probable targets but nothing to worry about. The rain should be light.

4. The parade of storms continues in B.C.

The light rain falling over the southern coast of British Columbia should be clearing up this afternoon. As the precipitation moves out, there's even the chance of a little sun. Soak it in, west coast. The next system moves in Thursday morning and into Friday. Fortunately, there's a chance that will clear up just in time for trick or treating.
