Some residents in eastern Quebec woke up to a weak jolt Saturday morning.

A shallow 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck the city of Sept-Iles at 10:48 a.m. EDT.

Although the earthquake was felt by some residents, no damage or injuries were reported.

"There was no tsunami danger with this earthquake," added Monica Vaswani, a meteorologist at The Weather Network.
