'Seasonal alerts' (Influenza levels) is a FREE service. However, standard text messaging rates or package deductions may apply. Check with your carrier for details of your messaging plan.
Seasonal alerts are sent out once a week. An alert will be sent out on Saturdays at 8 am.
Flu alerts cover respiratory illnesses represented in the following eight indicators: cough, runny nose, nasal congestion, chest congestion, high fever, low fever and sore throat.

No. Flu data is collected ONCE A WEEK from a panel of physicians, pharmacists, representatives from nursing homes, schools and laboratories, based across the country. The data will be available on http://mobile.theweathernetwork.com within 24 hrs of collection.
Yes, you can. Simply text your city name followed by "FLU" and send the message to 2927 (2WARN)
There are two ways to unsubscribe:
— Reply STOP to any FLU alert message you receive.
— Sign into your Subscription account at The Weather Network website and click on the "delete" button.
