Taking the plunge at the Sears Great Canadian Chill
Monday, February 17, 2014, 7:51 PM
On Monday, 200 volunteers braved Toronto's cold weather and plunged into ice cold water as part of the Sears Great Canadian Chill.
Calling the temperature "frigid" would be an understatement: wind chill values made it feel like the minus-teens during the time of the event.
Thankfully, their endeavours weren't in vain: Participants managed to raise $50,000 to benefit children's cancer research.
