Taking the plunge at the Sears Great Canadian Chill

On Monday, 200 volunteers braved Toronto's cold weather and plunged into ice cold water as part of the Sears Great Canadian Chill.

Calling the temperature "frigid" would be an understatement: wind chill values made it feel like the minus-teens during the time of the event.

Thankfully, their endeavours weren't in vain: Participants managed to raise $50,000 to benefit children's cancer research.
