An urban forest in Halifax

As spring approaches, you may start to notice more and more trees popping up around Halifax.

It’s all part of the city's urban forest plan, an initiative to plant more trees and prune more branches.

Last year alone, roughly 1500 caliper trees were planted in 5 neighbourhoods around the city, with even more on private properties. 

The trees not only help out aesthetically, but serve practical functions in maintaining infrastructure.
