  1. What is a short code?

    Instead of sending text messages to a 10-digit phone number, you send to a Short Code.These are five or six digits long and often spell a word or brand name. For example; 93284 (WEATH).

  3. What types of subscription services are offered by The Weather Network?

    WeatherDirect : Daily Weather forecasts to your cellphone. WeatherDirect is priced at 0.15 cents per message. Click here to learn more

    WarningsDirect : Severe Weather Warning alerts to your cellphone. A monthly service fee of $3.00 applies. Click here to learn more.

    Sea to Sky: Road alerts such as accidents, unscheduled closures and more for the Hwy 99 route (Windsor to Vancouver). The service is priced at 0.25cents per message. Click here to learn more.

  5. How will I be billed for my services?

    All charges will be billed directly through your wireless carrier. If there are any concerns with regards to your billing, please contact your wireless carrier’s customer support team directly.

  7. I want to receive Weather forecast but don’t wish to subscribe to WeatherDirect. Can I get the service on-demand?

    Yes, you can receive weather forecast as a one time request. To get the service on-demand send the city name (eg. Toronto) to the number 93284 (Weath). The service is charged at $0.25 per message. Click here for a demo.

  9. What type of Weather forecast will I receive?

    You will receive detailed forecast for the day and a snap-shot of next day's weather. Detailed forecast comprises current conditions, 'feels like' temperatures, snow/rain amounts.

  11. How do I subscribe for the WeatherDirect, TextWeather Alerts?

    You will need to log on to The Weather network website and click on Mobile button to subscribe. Or just Click here.

  13. Will I receive Severe Weather Warnings with my WeatherDirect subscription.

    No, Severe Weather warnings is not a scheduled product. You will need to subscribe to this premium service separately. Click here to subscribe.

  15. Will I be charged a fee for sending a Text Message to one of your short codes?

    No, there are no charges to the activation verification message you send back to a product short code. Also commands such as "Stop" "Help" "Info" and "Password" are Free.

  17. How do I change my city forecasts or my delivery times for WeatherDirect Text forecast service?

    You can change your city forecasts or delivery times for your alerts by logging into your account as a current subscriber in the box on right OR Log in here.

  18. How do I unsubscribe to WeatherDirect?

    To unsubscribe to the WeatherDirect text forecast, you can reply with the word "STOP". Or send the word STOP to phone number # 93284. You can also modify/change or delete cities in your account by signing in as a current subscriber (box on right hand side).

  20. I forgot my password?

    Click here to retrieve your password. It will be sent to you on your cell phone. OR send the word password to number 69896 and we’ll send it to you. The service is FREE.

  22. Are there any long distance charges associated with this service?

    There are no long distance charges associated with this service, only the per message fee will apply to your account. All charges will be billed directly through your wireless carrier. If there are any concerns with regards to your billing, please contact your wireless carrier customer support team directly.
