InSouth Central Kansas, Butler and Cowley. In Southeast Kansas,Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho,Wilson and Woodson.* WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will impact the regionthis afternoon through tonight. Pockets of very heavyrainfall and localized flooding are likely, along with thepotential for rises and rivers and streams.

At 1243 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms alonga line extending from 8 miles north of Elk City to near Cherryvale to9 miles south of Mound Valley to near Edna to 12 miles west of Welch.Movement was northeast at 55 mph.HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.SOURCE...Radar indicated.IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow aroundunsecured objects.Locations impacted include...Parsons, Chanute, Iola, Neodesha, Fredonia, Cherryvale, Humboldt,Oswego, Erie, Chetopa, Altamont, St. Paul, La Harpe, Gas, Moran,Thayer, Edna, Altoona, Mound Valley, and Buffalo.
