Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drivecars through flooded areas.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise evenhigher than predicted. Access to homes alongNorth Shore Drive in eastern St. Charles County becomes cut offnear this height.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 10:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 19.9 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stagethis afternoon to a crest of 20.4 feet early tomorrowafternoon.
