Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.

Description

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the followingcounty, Union and southeast Missouri, including the followingcounty, Cape Girardeau.* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 658 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Some of these storms may repeat over areashaving already received heavy rainfall. Where this occurs,minor flooding is expected.- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected overthe area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Scott City, Anna, Jonesboro, TrailOf Tears State Park, Bollinger Mill State Historic Site,Cobden, Delta, Gordonville, Dutchtown, Ware, Millersville,Burfordville, Daisy, Alto Pass, Oak Ridge, Whitewater,Allenville, and Pocahontas.
