Description

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the followingcounties, Allen, Elk, Greenwood, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.* WHEN...Until 930 AM CDT Monday.* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roadsremain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due toexcess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings areinundated with water and may not be passable.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 909 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in thewarned area. Between 3 and 9 inches of rain have fallen.Many roads are still impassable and include two U.S.Highways.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Parsons, Chanute, Iola, Eureka, Neodesha, Fredonia, Humboldt,Yates Center, Erie, Madison, St. Paul, La Harpe, Gas, Moran,Thayer, Altoona, Longton, Toronto, Hamilton and Severy.
