Recommended Action

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due todangerous surf conditions.Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax andfloat. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in adirection following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face theshore and call or wave for help.

* WHAT...For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 5 to 8 feetin the surf zone.* WHERE...Coastal Palm Beach County and Coastal Broward County.* WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, through Tuesday evening.For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 PM EDT this evening.* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions andlocalized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the bestswimmers away from shore into deeper water.
