Change City: you will be prompted when you add the application to pick your city first prior to viewing the application. This ensures that your profile is customized to your preferences. If you wish, at any time, to change your city or add the weather for another city, follow these steps:
Please note that errors in typing, punctuation and spacing can result in errors in locating your city within our database. You are advised to enter the city name only and the application will prompt you to choose if there are multiple locations with the same name. For example: London, ON and London, England
Add Another City: if you wish to add another city to your profile page, follow these steps:
Once you add The Weather Network application, it will appear on your profile page. If you have a significant number of applications installed, you may have to scroll down to the bottom of your profile to see it. Facebook adds all applications in order of when you added them. You can move the application once it is installed by clicking and dragging it to anywhere on your profile. See Profile View Options, for more information.
Also, if you click on the small The Weather Network icon on your left profile view, it will drop your page to the application immediately.
Each application can be customized for your profile page for metric units (Celsius or Fahrenheit) and language (English or French). These changes can be made in the Change City tab within the application page.
Currently, severe weather warnings and alerts are only provided for Canadian cities. No action is required on your part. Once you have chosen your preferred city, if there is a warning you will automatically be notified with a red bar across the top of your application. The red bar will contain information about your area's warning. (For example: Snowfall Warning for Greater Vancouver). More details about the warning can be found if you click on the red bar.

There are two views of the application within your profile page. The application can be clicked and dragged from the left side column to the right side column and vice versa.
The left side column view shows current conditions and weather warnings, when applicable, in a compact view.

The right side column view shows the current conditions, short term forecasts, weather warnings and a collapsible messaging function.

If your friends have the weather application installed you can view your friends weather at a glance by clicking on the View Friends Weather tab at the top of the application page or by clicking on the View Friends Weather link on your profile view.
If they don't have the application installed you can easily send invitations to your friends by clicking on the Invite Friends tab also located at the top of the application page.
If you enjoy the application from The Weather Network and want to share it with your friends, you can invite your friends to add the application by clicking on the Invite Friends tab at the top of the application page and follow these steps:
This messaging function is different then sending an invitation. If you want to share the weather information about your preferred city to your friends for events, parties, dates or warnings, you can send a customized message from the application that will be received to your Friends email account and Facebook notification page.
To send a weather message, follow these steps:
The weather data is provided by Canada's #1 Source for Weather - The Weather Network.

This is a rule set out by Facebook. By limiting the amount of invites an application can send to users, Facebook preserves the user experience and hopefully will prevent members from becoming inundated.
