Internship Opportunities & Scholarships

Pelmorex/The Weather Network provides individuals interested in a broadcasting career with the opportunity to get hands-on experience under the guidance of trained professionals. Job shadowing opportunities, internships and co-op placements may be arranged.

We welcome applicants interested in participating in any of the following internships at The Weather Network. If you are currently enrolled in a diploma or degree program at a Canadian College or University and are interested in obtaining some practical experience please forward your resume to the contact information listed below.

Here are some examples of the types of internships we offer:

Programming Intern - Assist in all aspects of video production within the Production Department
Switcher/Editor Intern - technical assistance in the studio environment
News Writing Intern - assisting our Reporters and Writers with research and story ideas
Research Intern - comprehensive research through all types of media sources
Meteorology Intern - working with our Meteorologists, interns learn and assist with regular analysis of available Numerical Models
