ABORIGINAL SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The Weather Network educational incentive award is to create interest among Aboriginal peoples in the Canadian Broadcasting industry.
Eligibility: A status or non-status Aboriginal full-time student. The applicant should be enrolled in a Canadian Journalism or Radio and Television Arts program and has received passing marks in their previous year of study. Applicants are committed students who want to contribute and have enthusiasm for their chosen career path.
If no students apply from these programs then the award may go to an Aboriginal student in another school program specifically, Communication, Business Administration, Meteorology, Computer Science, Graphic Design or Engineering Technology.
Requirements: Resume, transcript from most recent year of study and a reference letter.
Value: One award of $500.00
Deadline: May 30th of each year
