Several hours of freezing rain expected from L'Anse-au-Clair to Norman Bay.

Total freezing rain amounts: 5 to 15 mm.

Time span: later Wednesday evening and overnight.

Similar storms in the past have caused:
- slippery surfaces,
- hazardous driving conditions,
- scattered utility outages or utility infrastructure damage.

Remarks: There is some uncertainty in the extent of ice accretion expected along coastal areas where temperature will hover near zero. The certainty is much higher for more extensive ice accretion inland where temperatures will be a bit cooler.

Freezing rain warnings will likely be needed in subsequent forecasts if the expected conditions don't change.
