A low pressure system will bring significant rainfall and freezing rain to the islands tonight. Periods of rain at times heavy will change to freezing rain this evening. A prolonged period of several hours of freezing rain is expected overnight with the potential for significant icing. The precipitation will taper to scattered flurries Sunday morning as the low pressure system moves away from the region.
