Snow associated with this system will begin over Southeastern Newfoundland Thursday evening and spread to remaining areas of Eastern Newfoundland by midnight. Snowfall amounts near 15 cm are expected for the Burin Peninsula by Thursday morning. For regions under the winter storm watch, snowfall accumulations could exceed 10 cm Thursday night with further amounts possible for Friday morning. For the Eastern Avalon, 10 cm of snow is expected before it switches over to rain overnight. Due to the uncertainty in the track of this system rain may also spread further west over the Avalon.
