Rainfall Warning

Issued at 03:40 Tuesday 28 July 2015
Summary

Rain, at times heavy, is expected. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 100 mm by Tuesday evening. A strong low pressure system centred over southeast Saskatchewan continues to track northeastward. Moderate to heavy rain continues to fall to the north and west of this low pressure system. Widespread rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm have already fallen with as much as 85 mm in Coronach. Rain is expected to continue through the day with another 15 to 25 mm possible before the rain tapers off from west to east tonight. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. To report severe weather, send an email to storm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #SKStorm.
